BSNL ADSL Modem Configuration: Digisol DG-BG4100N (Type-4)

This guide will brief you about Digisol DG-BG4100N (Type-4). It will guide you about how to physically connect modem as well as firmware configuration of this modem pictorially. It is a easy and step-by-step guide for you.

You have chosen Digisol DG-BG4100N (Type-4). It is a type-4 modem in context to BSNL modem terminology. It has four Ethernet ports and Wi-Fi transmitter for PC connectivity. It provides a downlink speed up to 24 Mbit/s and an uplink speed up to 1 Mbit/s. The device supports WLAN access, as WLAN AP or WLAN router, to internet. It is compliant with IEEE 802.11,802.11b/g/n specifications and complies with WEP, WPA and WPA2 security specifications.

I will discuss the bridge configuration (i.e dialer mode) for this modem pictorially with required text when needed. I will break the whole modem configuration procedure in two sections.

Section I:

LAN Configuration:

              Put the IP address in Local Area Connection as-

Subnet Mask:
Default Gateway:

Section II:

Step 1: Open Internet Explorer or other browser, and put in address bar of browser and hit enter. One window of modem configuration will open, put the user name and password as-
User Name: admin
Password: admin

  1. i am using digisol modem( DG-BG4011N). Since yesterday none my laptop and mobile are not able to detect the wifi signal. green light is on for the internet.

    Initially I thought that my BSNL line has a problem, but when i connected my laptop in Lan 1 through cable, internet was working fine.
    Problem is likely in transmission of wifi signal. plz guide.

  2. i have a problem since April 2015 i tried to contact bsnl but still bsnl cannot solve the problem ..can anyone solve the problem for me…………………… MY PROBLEM:-my WiFi shows me WiFi on all my devices it connects but there is no internet access i cant use any applications or browse through internet….so can anyone solve my problem
