India’s largest broadband provider BSNL will soon increase the minimum broadband speed from existing 512Kbps to 1Mbps across all its unlimited plans. The new tariff will come into effect from August 1st, 2016 on PAN India basis for new customers as well as existing Broadband customers.
BSNL authority is going to reformulate the Bandwidth (download speed) after high speed quota (post FUP) under unlimited FUP Broadband plans for all the existing & new Broadband customers. Now the bandwidth (download speed) after high speed FUP quota (post FUP) under unlimited FUP Broadband plan may be increased from existing 512 Kbps to 1Mbps.
The above revision shall be applicable across all the PAN India/Circle/SSA Specific DSL/FTTH unlimited Broadband plans (having 512 Kbps speed after high speed FUP quota) which are currently being offered to the customers.

BSNL has also announced the withdrawal of broadband plans BBG Combo ULD 3500, BBG Combo ULD 6300, Fibro Home ULD 850 CS1 and Fibro Home ULD 1400 CS2. However, existing subscriber can continue using this plan or migrate to other plans. These instructions shall be applicable w.e.f. 01-08-2016 in all telecom circles.
