  1. “….is going to to upgrade the bandwidth of all ADSL broadband plans…… ………to a minimum speed of 2 Mbps.” ? ? ?
you have not mentioned that the connections will return to the low stone age kind of speeds of 512kbps after the FUP.

Not only that fact is not mentioned anywhere, it also makes people belive that the “minimum speed” that they will get would be 2 mbps. this stupid organisation is not gonna gain anything by doing such bullshit tactics. they’ll keep loosing more n more users untill they will be left with the most rural connections. and i dont think that’ll be a profitable way to operate. Hope we will be soon saying “bye for ever” to this ctupid company

    1. Hello Abhijit,
I think you should check table in this post, where it is mentioned that after FUP usage the speed of plan will degrade (like for BBG UL545 the speed will degrade from 2 Mbps to 512 Kbps after 1GB).

      Thanks!

    2. Sir, Before commenting take the effort to read the terms. Every plan clearly states that after the limit of the plan the speed will reduce to 512 kbps. So called literate people like you just want to abuse BSNL without reason but the fact is you cannot even read English ! Shame on you

  2. Currently i am using connect broadband . When i listen the news of that bsnl going to give minimum 2mbps speed i will definetly go for bsnl. But i have a question in my mind that. will bsnl give this offer unlimited or its limit base? Pls ans my question.

  3. What is new about it 2 mbps for only 1 GB ,thats gone finish in 12 hours. and after that the same 512 kbps ,that too is not available its 220 kbps after that , shit bye bye BSNL.
    losing customers now.

  4. This bsnl peoples still don’t understand what people needs? The FUP they unilaterally started is the drawback peoples didn’t like. They should provide 2mbps flat speed in unlimited plans than you could say they will bring value and certainly they would get lot of business.

  5. sir,
i have opted UNLIMITED DOWNLOAD USAGE
( i.e BBG COMBO ULD 845 ) . Then , what for the necessity for me to limit my fair usage up to certain limit and after that i have to top up to continue to with the same speed ?

  6. Recently we buyed new connection after annoucing our communication minister that after 1 oct the minimum speed will begoing to be 2Mbps. We were very glad toknow that,we will enjoy 2Mbps speed. But when we came toknow that only we get speed upto 1 gb, 1 GB is nothing for me, this is fir one day for me. Really very dissapointing

  7. i have used more than 6 gb from 1 aug and still i am getting 2mbps speed … 545 plan .. downloading speed more than 250 kbps..

  8. When I saw the news that BSNL was going to upgrade broadband speed to minimum 2 Mbps, I thought I will be getting minimum 2 Mbps speed. My plan is unlimited with around 800 rs per month charge. Today is October 5th and I got the notice that FUP is reached and I have the option to top up to keep browsing at 2 Mbps. I opted not to top up and restarted and I am back to 512 Kbps speed.

What is the idea of saying the minimum broadband speed will be 2 Mbps after Oct 1st, 2015?

  9. In unlimited plans, even if you guys ( BSNL) limit the data transmission with a very low FUP, then don’t call it ” unlimited”. This is not a dedicated mobile internet. It’s for computers. FUP which means Fair Usage Policy, has to be fair. Do you think 1 GB is fair in a month cycle? On an average, your competitors are offering 30 GB as FUP. This way, customers who don’t have any other option other than using BSNLwill continue to use it, but who have, you will lose them. Please recitify this and plan something lucrative. Please hire some young strategists or planners in our organisation to grab a hold of your best customer base. Otherwise you will soon gain the reputation of Bakwas Sanchar Nigam Limited.
