BSNL will conduct a crash course in Chennai for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examination. The course will be held at its training division, Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Telecom Training Centre in Meenambakkam, Chennai.
Four batches will commence on November 16, 23, 30, December 7. The course fee will be around Rs 30,000.
While BSNL is recruiting 2,500 JTOs via GATE 2017, the government is expected to issue notifications for more than 10,000 jobs in public sector units like ONGC, NTPC, SAIL, GAIL, BPCL, BHEL and Power Grid. GATE syllabus is also helpful to write central government exams for recruitment to IES, Isro and DRDO, according to a release.
The release said the coaching would be conducted for Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) and Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) streams. Hostel and mess facility available for both male and female separately on the campus.
